WHAT: Our goal this year is to read a book each season - all related to spirituality, personal growth, and yoga - and meet in person seasonally (4 times per year) to share and discuss how to apply the concepts from the book to better our lives.
WHY: Because books are incredibly important for personal growth, we want to read more, and we are excited to have spiritual conversations with a conscious community. Also, we have wayyyyy too many spiritual books sitting on our shelves that we haven't read yet and we need the motivation of a group to kick into gear.
WHEN and WHERE: We will meet 4 times per year in the Palo Alto area to connect about the book. Contact us to receive meeting details.
HOW: Order the book (or audiobook) and read (or listen) along! Read the book already? You can still participate -- this book is worth re-reading. Email us HERE and let us know that you are joining us. Come to the meetings when you can. That's it!
Book Choice for Spring 2019
Still Life with Woodpecker, by Tom Robbins
No. 1 Best Seller
"Still Life with Woodpecker is a sort of a love story that takes place inside a pack of Camel cigarettes. It reveals the purpose of the moon, explains the difference between criminals and outlaws, examines the conflict between social activism and romantic individualism, and paints a portrait of contemporary society that includes powerful Arabs, exiled royalty, and pregnant cheerleaders. It also deals with the problem of redheads." -GoodReads
